Las Leñas Ski & Wine Vacation - Sample Itinerary
The travel arrangements couldn't be easier. You fly into Mendoza, Argentina, where your Postales host will greet you. After your customized wine country experience is completed, we will provide you with a comfortable ground transfer to the Las Leñas Ski Resort. If you choose to tour the Mendoza wine country after your ski vacation, we will arrange for you to meet your host in Las Leñas.
Your itinerary will be customized according to your interests, timeframe, and budget.
Day One, Mendoza City, Chacras de Coria
Daily Information: Arrival into Mendoza City – Greeted by your Postales host. Check in at Chacras de Coria Lodge. Private lunch, visit, and tasting at Zuccardi Winery, where you will have a chance to taste the best Tempranillos in Argentina, plus you can try a new concept in organic wines. Enjoy a relaxed afternoon on your own in Mendoza, or take an optional city tour. Your hotel: Chacras de Coria Lodge, includes a special welcome dinner in our intimate restaurant with a marvelous selection of wines.Day Two, Mendoza City, Chacras de Coria
Daily Information: Breakfast at Chacras de Coria Lodge. Drive via private vehicle with a Postales winemaker/host to Bodega Catena Zapata for an exclusive visit and tasting. Learn why 5 of Catena's wines are in the top 50 wines of South America, with 3 wines rated over 93 points by Wine Spectator magazine. Next, a visit to Bodega Ruca Malen, for a privately catered lunch and tasting. Postales executive chef, Pablo del Rio, will delight you with his cuisine, and along with the Ruca Malen winemaker, Pablo will select a special wine for each course of your lunch. Round out this wonderful day with an afternoon visit and tasting at Bodega Norton. The Norton Pedriel Coleccion is fabulous. Enjoy! Late afternoon you can relax back at the lodge, enjoy a walk and shopping around the Chacras de Coria plaza, take a swim in the pool, or schedule a relaxing massage in your room. Daily Information: Breakfast at Chacras de Coria Lodge.
After breakfast at the lodge one of our professional drivers will pick you up and take you to the Las Leņas Ski Resort. All vehicles are comfortable and safe, with heating and ski racks. The drive takes 4 to 5 hours depending on the winter weather conditions. Arrive at Las Leñas Ski Resort, where you will stay at a resort apartment. Apartments are the nicest of the condominium-style accommodations at Las Lenas. All apartments including reception area, ski and boot storage, fully-equipped kitchens, cable TV, phones, and daily maid service.
Your package includes lift tickets, which you can pick up on arrival. You can ski this day if you choose.
All meals are on your own. There is a resort grocery store if you would like to cook meals in your apartment. There are many good restaurants scattered around the resort and in the various resort hotels. Also many bars, excellent nightlife, shopping, spa services, and other amenities. We will provide you with our recommended list of dining options in your pre-trip information package.
Overnight in your apartment.
Days Four through Nine, Las Leñas
Daily Information: Full days of skiing.
Meals on your own. Overnights in your apartment. Optional activities on your own. We can arrange private ski guides for awesome out-of-bounds skiing if you choose. There is a resort grocery store if you would like to cook meals in your apartment. There are many good restaurants scattered around the resort and in the various resort hotels. Also many bars, excellent nightlife, shopping, spa services, and other amenities. We will provide you with our recommended list of dining options in your pre-trip information package
Departure Day
Daily Information: Breakfast at Las Leñas. Private ground transfer to the Mendoza Airport to begin your journey home, or continue with additional time in the Mendoza Wine Country.
Pricing for Ski/Wine Country Excursions
Customized Packages: For 2 people $250 per person per day; For 3 or 4 people $225 per person per day; For 5 or more people $200 per person per day.
All Packages Include
Multilingual host/hostess, hotel/lodge accommodations, Las Leñas accommodations, meals in wine country, ground transportation for wine tours, winery tours, tastings, and other selected activities.
Not Included
Air transportation to/from Mendoza or other airports, transfers to/from Las Leñas (unless indicated in your itinerary), meals in Las Leñas, gratuities to the appropriate hosts and staff, shopping, spa treatments, items of a personal nature. Complete detailed itineraries will be provided to each group.
