A private island retreat in the middle of a breathtaking lagoon, all surrounded by the wilds of the pampas; La Sistina offers you unforgettable hunting in a virgin landscape in western Buenos Aires province. On the island, with experienced guides and dogs, you will pursue pheasants, partridges, and hares, and also have the opportunity to hunt antelope. Across the lagoon, you can experience some of the best duck shooting anywhere.

The casually elegant lodge has eight spacious bedrooms with queen or twin beds and private baths. Large windows in the living room and dining room create inspiring vistas of the island's natural splendor. Savory meals feature fresh game and fish and are accompanied by fine Salentein wines (Salentein is one of the premier wineries in Mendoza.) After a day in the field you can relax with a cocktail or take a dip in the large swimming pool. In the evening stroll across the island to take in the fauna that includes flamingos, guanacos, and nandues (a South American ostrich).

We can coordinate your travel and visit to La Sistina with your arrival at Ezeiza International Airport in Buenos Aires from your country of origin, or from anywhere within Argentina. We highly recommend taking at least a few days to visit the Mendoza Wine Country either before or after you adventure to La Sistina.

The following is a sample itinerary for Duck, Partridges, Pheasant, Geese, Hares and Antelope (May-August):

Day 1
Morning - You will fly from Jorge Newberry (AEP) domestic airport in Buenos Aires to Bahia Blanca. Charter flights can also be arranged directly to the island's private airstrip. The lodge staff will greet you in Bahia Blanca and transfer you to the lodge, about a one hour and forty-five minute drive.
Afternoon - Settle in at the lodge, have lunch, a session of combo shooting on the island for partridges (limit 5), pheasants (limit 2), and hares (limit 5). Welcome dinner and overnight.

Day 2
All Day - Combo shooting on the island (limit: partridges 10, pheasants 5, hares 10). Lunch at the lodge. Cocktails, dinner at the lodge.

Day 3
Morning - Duck shooting on the mainland (limit 10), lunch in the field.
Afternoon - Geese shooting (no limit). Cocktails, dinner at the lodge.

Day 4
Morning - Duck shooting on the mainland (limit 10), lunch in the field.
Afternoon - Geese shooting (no limit). Cocktails, dinner at the lodge.

Day 5
Morning - Duck or Geese shooting. Lunch at the lodge.
Afternoon - Combo shooting on the island. Cocktails, dinner at the lodge.

Day 6
All Day - Combo shooting on the island (limit: partridges 10, pheasants 5, hares 10). Lunch at the lodge. Cocktails, dinner at the lodge.



Day 7
Morning - After breakfast, transfer to Bahia Blanca for your commercial flight back to Buenos Aires, J. Newberry Airport. Charter flights can also be arranged. You will be greeted at J. Newberry by our staff, and either transferred to EZE for your international flight home, or if you are staying in Buenos Aires, to your hotel of choice. If you are flying on to Mendoza for a wine country tour, or elsewhere in Argentina, our staff will assist you with your connecting flight.

A non-shooting companion accompanying a shooter; $600.00 USD.

All Packages Include
EZE greeting and transfer to J. Newberry airport, or Bs.As. hotel transfer to J. Newberry if needed, greeting and transfers to/from Bahia Blanca to lodge, accommodations, all meals and snacks, drinks and wine, laundry service at the lodge, guided shooting as described, optional horseback riding, hunting permits for the Province of Buenos Aires.

Not Included
Air transportation to/from Buenos Aires, optional charter flights, cartridges/shells (cost is $9.50 USD per box of 25), telephone calls, staff gratuities, EZE gun permits if you bring your own guns. Our staff will be happy to assist you in advance to arrange for your gun permits, and to help in any other way possible to make your trip fun and care-free.
